LIVE BETTER, LONGER

Dr Niraj Singh provides a service focusing on mental healthspan and longevity.  Healthspan refers to years of healthy life, or years of life spent free of disease..We want you to live a wholesome, productive life.

Current medical practice whilst having its benefits, is reactive and focuses on symptom management. I focus on the whole person, mind and body as they are one. I provide integrative, evidence-based interventions and personalised care.

Our founder, Dr Niraj Singh says

‘My grand-mother lived to the age of 99 years. She had dementia, diabetes and heart disease. Up until 83 years old she had no cognitive problems. I can’t help but think that she may have had many more additional healthy years if she had taken up exercise earlier in her life. Nowadays there are an increasing number of people with multiple medications and conditions as they grow older. Much of this is preventable with lifestyle interventions. My mission is to help as many people live better, longer’

Where appropriate I will arrange investigations including blood testing and gut microbiome testing as well as sleep analysis.

Interventions will involve lifestyle modifications, supplements and pharmacological interventions where appropriate.

Common questions asked and answered

Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the most common questions that we get asked. If you’d like to know anything else, please don’t hesitate to call us – Dr Niraj Singh’s team will be happy to help.

  • Do I need a referral?

It’s usually not necessary and I can see you directly without a referral. We are happy to accept referrals from your GP, other medical doctors, psychologists and other mental health professionals. Please note: In certain cases, some private medical insurance organisations might expect you to have a formal referral. Please check with your insurance provider in advance.

  • What happens during the initial consultation?

An initial psychiatric consultation aims to look into your symptoms and to understand how those symptoms developed, what different factors in your life influenced them, and what can be done to help. It will typically end with a treatment plan, which may include scripts, referrals to therapists or other professionals, or follow-up appointments.

  • How long does an initial consultation take?

Most initial consultations are between one and two hours long, depending on your specific requirements.

  • How many sessions does a full psychiatric session take?

For most conditions, one appointment is enough to produce a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan.

  • How long will it take to get an appointment?

We can typically get appointments booked within one week. Depending on availability, we can also offer last-minute appointments – call us to enquire about availability.

  • What’s the fee for your service?

You are advised to contact us to find out the details applicable to your specific needs.

  • How can I pay for my appointment?

All appointments are prepaid in advance. You will be sent an email with instructions on how to pay online. Please note I do not deal with insurance.

  • Can you guarantee I’ll get a specific diagnosis or treatment?

The diagnosis and treatment plan is formulated on a case-by-case basis. I will consider your requests, but advice is based on objective examination, etc. The issues I deal with are in the professional domain, and specific results (like a certain diagnosis or treatment) cannot be “ordered”.

  • Will I get a report after my appointment?

Yes. On average, it takes around 2 weeks from the date of the initial assessment until the report is produced.

Testimonials

Private Patient

Dr Niraj Singh is the best doctor I have encountered. He is very approachable, warm and friendly. As someone who suffers from social anxiety, I was surprised at how comfortable he made me feel. On top of the impeccable treatment, his knowledge and experience were beyond what I have come to expect from clinicians and medical professionals alike. I can assure you that my words of praise fall short, a Doctor like this is rarer than a Unicorn. Thanks so much, Dr Singh!

Dr Singh is a kind, honest and helpful doctor who makes you feel at ease as soon as you meet him. He has made opening up about my conditions easy with the way he listens and cares about helping me deal with my chronic pain, and has made me feel so at ease about the whole process of medical cannabis. He was incredibly helpful in finding the right mix/strain for me, which has had a massive impact for which I am incredibly grateful.
